Anthony Davis to return tomorrow
Anthony Davis returns from injury for the Lakers' game against the Spurs tomorrow.
The Los Angeles Lakers played a game against the Denver Nuggets two weeks ago, on the 16th of December, where Anthony began experiencing sharp pain in his right foot when his right leg collided with Nikola Jokic. During halftime, he had an X-ray, which revealed that a bone spur had fractured off the navicular bone in his right foot. That same navicular bone, which is located at the top of the foot between the ankle and the toes, has a stress reaction that caused the pain.
Davis has been out for the last 20 games due to an injury. The Lakers have done outstanding work, going 10-10 during Davis' absence. Fortunately, head coach Darvin Ham has confirmed that AD will be returning to the court to play against the San Antonio Spurs tomorrow on a 20- to 24-minute restriction.
In his 11th NBA season, he is averaging 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game for the Lakers.Davis led the Lakers to a 9-6 record while LeBron James was injured, averaging 33 points per game.Since Davis's injury, LeBron has returned the favor by averaging 34 points per game.Austin Reaves and Lonnie Walker IV were also injured; however, James has played brilliantly in covering for all the missing players.
Fans are overjoyed to hear about the NBA star's return and are impatiently waiting to watch the Los Angeles Lakers vs. San Antonio Spurs game tomorrow. With AD’s return, the Lakers not only have a chance to make the playoff picture but also make another win-now trade ahead of the deadline.
James and Davis are both individually known as the best players in the NBA, and as they are now set to play together on Wednesday, the excitement level is growing. The last time the duo came together, the Lakers won the championship. If that is to happen again, it will start tomorrow when they play against the San Antonio Spurs.
